Detachment

What is a Attachmnt? 'Psycological dependency of self on external object or event'. This psychological dependency, attachment may bring sorrow; as external events or objects are subject to impermeance.Detachment is thus treated as solution to attachement, solution to sorrow of impermenance of attached object or event.

Opposite is not same as Absence
So what is detachment? Detachment is supposed to be lack of,dissolution of psychological dependency which causes attachment. But is't detachment an attempt to dissolve attachment rather than been actually un-attached.An attempt which is opposing force to what it attempts to dissolve. The greater the force of this opposing force, the greater is conflict arising out of it.
The inner-conflict which fosters agitations in mind.Is the opposing force solving the core problem it is supposed to be solving or Is it creating new ones?

When one tries to be detached, attachment is present in mind as well as the opposing force of trying to be detched. This opposing force instead of dissolving attachment, generates inner conflict.
Shouldn't one try to observe how attachment arises in the first place rather than trying to oppose it.Shouldn't one attempt to observe how One does fal ki apeksha, rather than merely trying to oppose the Apeksha which has already there? But to observe the problem, shouldn't we first need to accept what is, the apeksha it in first place?
